Isabel Lucas Owned the Red Carpet in Melbourne Last Night
She might not step out as often as fellow local fashion stars like Jennifer Hawkins or Nicole Trunfio, but when Isabel Lucas decides to do a red carpet appearance, she does it well. Flanked by fellow celebs at last night's Melbourne Emporium Opening, Lucas stood apart in a Sass and Bide dress that was equal parts feminine, bohemian and modern. And that's a hard mix to master. While a simple and silky white top felt almost minimalist, the intricate, sheer embroidered skirt added drama. The "Stand Alone" dress is from Sass and Bide's Resort collection and will retail for $1,100 when it drop in store this October.
All evidence points to the fact Isabel Lucas has come along way since her Home and Away days. Like when she popped up on the MOCA gala red carpet in LA earlier in the year — just casually wearing new season Louis Vuitton.
You probably remember Isabel as Tasha, the beautiful but troubled Home and Away character than earned the up-and-coming actress a Logie of her own. Since leaving Summer Bay in 2006, Lucas has gone on to star in a number of films, including Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen and Immortals. But her budding career aside, it's Isabel's style transformation that's got us talking. While she's mostly retained that quiet, bohemian beauty on the red carpet, she's also added a certain polish to her look and started embracing androgyny with slick suits and masculine details. From Home and Away to Hollywood, this is one style transformation worth stalking . . .
