Behati Prinsloo Stars for Seafolly! She Talks Swimsuit Tricks, Fave Snappers & Her Off-Duty Style MO
Seafolly have got a knack for picking the most beautiful in the biz to star in their always-lush swimsuit campaigns. Hot on the heels of hiring Catherine McNeil, the Aussie bikini-brand have employed the genetic perfection that is Behati Prinsloo to model their Summer '12 collection. We jumped at the chance to ask the Victoria's Secret star a few questions. See what Behati had to say, then get a sneak peek at her Palm Spring shoot, lensed by David Gubert.
Tell us about being a Victoria's Secret model — what's the biggest misconception? Haha! Well we don’t wear angel wings ALL the time! I love being a part of VS — the shows, campaigns, the amazing girls I have worked alongside, talented photographers and stylists. It has all been incredible.
You've worked with some of the industry's best photographers, who is your favourite? Mario Testino has been my favourite photographer and working with him has been the highlight of my career. He is just the most talented man; I have an incredible amount of respect and admiration for him and his work.
You are a photographer yourself. Has modelling taught you any tricks? I have learnt a lot of course, and working with the best of the best has given me so much insight and knowledge. It is helpful that I know all about being the subject too so I can relate to them and play on that definitely.
What's your 'off-duty' style MO? A great pair of jeans and cool tee.
Best bit about the job? Travelling the world and meeting and working with talented and inspiring people.
Worst bit about the job? It never stops! No rest for the wicked.
How do you prep for a swimsuit shoot? I always prep my body with a steady focus of mixing pilates for my core and mix it with cardio/kickboxing. I alternate between both on different days. I also think drinking plenty of water always helps.
Most flattering swimsuit for any figure? I would have to say the one piece would win! One of Seafolly’s gorgeous halter maillots in a hot colour would do wonders on any figure. My personal favourite from the new collection is the Anchor triangle bikini.
