Burberry is one of those labels that make us swoon. Not just because of its iconicly British take on the trench coat, or trademark plaid print, but because season after season Christopher Bailey manages to reinvent this luxury label so deeply steeped in tradition — sparking off new trends, or giving us the latest IT bag/shoe/jacket to lust after. He's done it again with his glam take on things, as seen in the hot-off-the-press Spring/Summer 2011 campaign, starring Jordan Dunn. Two tone silver and black biker jeans, structured leather motorcycle jackets, and hard edged coats covered super sharp spikes gives us new loves, but the traces of old Burberry are there too — the plaid on the underside of a collar, the reworked silhouette of a trench in black leather or the buckled hardwear on a checked clutch bag. Old and new together, a perfect love story from Christopher Bailey.
