We've come to expect sterile collections from Francisco Costa, but this is perhaps his simplest Calvin Klein offering to date. A basic palette of black, white, grey and a touch of cobalt blue filled the runway for Fall, where simple silhouettes and fuss-free fabrics reigned supreme. Sleeves were a focal point, with cocoon shapes rounding out shoulders and wrists, and fitted high-waisted pants made a pleasant appearance in high-shine fabrics.
While I can appreciate Costa's point of view with his sleek and simple designs, the repetition of such minimal styles can get a little tiring. Luckily, there was some spice in the form of tough, metallic-platformed footwear and a stand-out textured fabric used on column dresses and long sleeved tops.
