Karl Lagerfeld Built His Own Eiffel Tower, We Can All Go Home Now
Chanel is always the highlight of Haute Couture Fashion Week. Aside from the obvious — the expert craftsmanship and intricate detail the house is known for — Karl Lagerfeld is famous for his extravagant sets. On Wednesday evening, these sentiments were proved to be true once again.
In front of editors, influencers, celebrities and friends of the brand, Karl presented one of his most exquisite collections to date. Below the Chanel Tower (yes, the French house actually recreated the Eiffel Tower), models made their way down the runway in dramatic silhouettes that were heavily embellished with beads and ostrich feathers. Looks were topped with bowler hats and accessorised with bold pearl earrings and jewels. The collection oozes a dark, moody elegance that is quite simply, alluring.
