Ever wondered what fills a fashion designer's day? We did. So we hit up a handful of our favourite local designers as part of our Fashion Insiders special to get a glimpse at a typical day in lives of these creative types. First up? One of our RAFW faves, Sara Phillips.
7am: Wake up have a cup of earl grey tea and a quick bowl of fresh fruit and yogurt before running out the door to the studio.
8:30am: Arrive in the studio and go through the daily dairy with my studio manager so we know what everyone needs to be doing for the day.
11am: Go through our fabric/design board for the upcoming season and make sure we are happy with our colour choices before ordering the fabric.
12:30pm: Run across the road to lunch time yoga. Essential so I can have one hour to myself to breath, and gather my thoughts.
2pm: Start allocating styles for our first Summer delivery.
4pm: Have a studio meeting with our print designers to discuss new print ideas.
7pm: Drag myself into the car and drive home for a nice dinner with my partner, before doing it all over again tomorrow.
