Ellery Autumn/Winter 2015
If there's one thing we've taken away from Kym Ellery's Autumn/Winter 2015 presentation that took place at Paris Fashion Week over the weekend, it's that we need to embrace flares. The Australian designer, who has championed flares of the pant and sleeve kind for a few seasons, was inspired by artist Egon Schiele's expressionistic paintings for her latest collection, which resulted in delicately textured tops, oversized coats and raw edges. The hemline for Autumn/Winter in Ellery's eyes is long, and in many cases the models were styled in dresses and skirts over floor-skimming pants.
At first glance the collection looks super serious, but among the crisp tailored shirts and blazers are some fun pieces like a fringed metallic top and dress that are sure to make their wearers the life of the party.
