Wedding Dresses: Get Your Hands on New York's Best, No Plane Ticket Required
A lot of great things are made in New York (Sex and The City, anyone?), but it's also a city known for creating some seriously skilled wedding dress designers. Thankfully, you don't need a plane ticket to the US to get your hands on one anymore.
While I'm not personally in the market for a big white gown, I still get a kick out of the beautiful workmanship that goes into a wedding dress. Lace! Tulle! Beads! Embellishment! With so much drama and romance, what's not to love? So when the news landed that a bridal boutique stocking some of New York's finest bridal designers was opening in Sydney, ears pricked up.
Australian store, Eternal Bridal, is bringing some of the best New York bridal to Sydney and Melbourne. With one store already in Melbourne, Eternal Bridal has just announced a second to launch in Sydney's Strand Arcade. The boutiques are the exclusive Australian destination for a bunch of brilliant bridal dresses, all of which are made by hand in New York.
Eternal Bride founder, Sebastian Lee, said brides are becoming a bit adventurous: "We are seeing brides being more adventurous in playing with different shades of pastel colours, from ivory to deep ivory, pale champagne and lots of blush colours. Brides are also embracing different textures on the skirt that creates dramatic silhouettes."
So, if you have an "I do" pending, take a peek at some highlights from the boutique's current offering below, and then run in store to book a fitting.
