Fashion Designer Alannah Hill apologises for David Jones comments and holds Sorry Sale

News Now: Alannah Hill Says Sorry With a Sale

Flamboyant fashion designer Alannah Hill has been forced to hold a 'sorry sale' in light of her recent comments regarding the Mark McInnes sex scandal. At yesterday's David Jones parade Hill made light of the situation saying that she had a crush on the former department store CEO and that "she wanted to be the girl who lived in the Bondi flat." On this morning's 92.9FM's breakfast show the designer publicly apologised and later backed it up with an email to all her loyal customers expressing her deep regret, admitting "I am extremely sorry if I have caused offense with my comments today. I in no way intended to trivialise the serious nature of sexual harrassment or the victim involved. I meant the comments in jest and in no way meant to cause further distress in an already distressing situation, it was my way of dealing with a stressful situation." The sorry sale will take place in all Alannah Hill stores around Australia with proceeds going to an unnamed charity to benefit women.
