Forever 21 to Open First Sydney Store This Thursday!
Zara, H&M, Uniqlo, Topshop and now Forever 21 — the international high street retailers show no signs of slowing down their expansion into Australia. Which, if you're into affordable and on-trend style, is a good thing. It was announced a few months ago that Forever 21 has finalised a 10 year lease in Sydney's Pitt Street Mall following a five year search.
The store will open at Sydney Arcade, 400 George Street Sydney and will span a whopping 1,741 square metres. The space will cover three interconnected levels, with areas previously housing Adidas, Glue and Billabong to be taken over by the international giant. Sleek styles for women, men and kids will be available in the store.
Brisbane is home to Forever 21's first Australian bricks and mortar boutique, having launched in October with The Bachelor's Lisa Hyde fronting the brand. Now, the company's North Ryde store, situated on level two in the Macquarie Centre, is set to become Sydney's first shop, opening its doors for the first time at 9am this Thursday morning, Dec. 11.
Of the upcoming Pitt Street Mall location, Forever 21's director of real estate and business development Jatin Malhotra has said: "Australia is a terrific market which provides great scale, enabling us to expand further in the coming years. Pitt Street Mall was always one of our top 10 locations worldwide and we are thrilled to be opening."
