French ELLE magazine has devoted their entire April issue to plus-size models, featuring model Tara Lynn (who last featured in V Magazine's size issue) as the cover star. Tara also features in a twenty-page spread inside the magazine modelling clothes, as well as appearing nude. This isn't the first time the French title has gone against convention; remember last year's sans make-up issue?
While it's great to see diverse body shapes and sizes included in fashion magazines, it's still a little disheartening to see that plus-size models have to be singled out everytime they appear in the media. What do you think? Should we be embracing all body shapes and sizes in fashion without making it into such a big deal, or is this still a step in the right direction?
