Giorgio Armani's Moved On to Greener Pastures For Autumn
What's more refreshing than cool mint? Nothing, according to Giorgio Armani. For the designer's Autumn/Winter 2014 show (that's Spring/Summer 2014 2015 for us in Australia), a parade of pastel green accents marched the runway, often paired with steely grey and sharp black. The effect worked to make the summery tone perfectly fit for the frostier season, even when emerging as soft T-strap booties.
Green brought its bolder, brighter side out to play, too — nearly verging on neon, when chartreuse elements took the stage. Armani dared you not to turn heads in a fringe fur coat and bright clutch to match. As for eveningwear, the designer's strong suit was expectedly marked by, well, suits. Rounding the line out, there was a beaded-crop-top-and-trouser combo, flowing full-length skirts, and column gowns galore to satisfy the customers' night-time needs and make any fellow party-goer green with envy (we couldn't resist!).
