See the H&M Paris Fashion Week Collection We Can't Wait to Shop in Australia
H&M returned to the Paris Fashion Week runway last year after an eight year hiatus from the Fashion Week circuit, putting on such a successful show we were left wondering how it could possibly be topped this year. But, we shouldn'e have worried: last night, the fast-fashion favourite did not disappoint, introducing a new name to know, "H&M Studio". It's an arm of the company boasting a dedicated design team whose focus is on elevated, curated, covetable seasonal collections. Plus, this show marks the first time the mass-market, multi-channel retailer has showcased a collection in Paris and we can expect some of the runway pieces to actually be available in Australia.
H&M transformed the Grand Palais in Paris into a steely city landscape for the showcase, the ideal back-drop for a classic mix of masculine-meets-feminine collection. Slinky slip dresses and softly-draped tops were grounded with biker jackets and blazers, while muted colours kept the attention firmly on the velvet, cashmere, lace and sequin textures and silhouettes.
With H&M's Australia launch merely weeks away (!!), we're looking forward to pieces from this collection finally landing in stores locally.
