Sneak Peek: See Inside Melbourne's House of Dior Exhibition
There has been a lot of buzz about the National Gallery of Victoria's upcoming exhibition The House of Dior: Seventy Years of Haute Couture, which opens on Sunday August 27 and runs until November 7.
The exhibition is a celebration of seventy years of couture from the house of Dior. Curated in collaboration with Christian Dior Couture and exclusive to Melbourne, the it is one of two major exhibitions in the world acknowledging the anniversary and features more than 140 garments from Christian Dior Couture that were designed between 1947 and 2017. You'll see dresses worn by Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman, Marion Cotillard and Miranda Kerr's wedding dress. You'll also gaze upon pieces designed by John Galliano and Christian Dior, including the last dress he ever designed.
And if you've ever dreamed of attending the MET Gala, you can live out the fantasy at the NGV Gala on Saturday August 26. The gala will be a night will be filled with fashion, fun and musical performances. Tickets are currently on sale and the proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the NGV Fashion and Textiles Collection.
