When it comes to red carpet events, we pour over every detail of every look — the dress, the shoes, the accessories, the makeup and hair. It's events like the Oscars that call for extra attention to detail in every sense of the word, with the end product being the world's most famous women looking perfectly polished.

But an unforgettable look — take Gwyneth Paltrow in that pink Ralph Lauren gown at the Oscars in 1999, for example — doesn't come to be from a stroke of luck. Loads of planning goes into an outfit that's remembered and referenced for years to come.

So ahead of one of Australia's biggest red carpet events — the TV Week Logies Awards — we asked Aleysha Campbell and Steph Malizis of CM Stylists to take us through the styling process in pictures. Working with The Thinker Girls, Stacey June and Kristie Mercer, as well as Chlose Bayliss, Aleysha and Steph are very well-versed when it comes to prepping A-listers for the red carpet.
