This Kiwi Label Just Changed Maternity Lingerie Forever
PSA: Lonely Lingerie just launched a new maternity line. For real.
The cult New Zealand-born label set out to support women through pregnancy and the months following by designing two maternity bras and a pair of briefs that are both beautiful and functional. The result? Well, they're perfect.
"Motherhood is a time when women give over their bodies and a large part of their identity to another being," says founder Helene Morris. "Lingerie requirements can often feel symbolic of this process. Lonely Maternity is designed to make mothers feel beautiful and special at a time when they're often forced to compromise their choices."
The bras feature easy-to-undo clips above the cups, and soft, absorbent fabric. The briefs are high-waisted and made to fit over widening hips, as well as cover scars from caesareans. And although the underwear is completely functional, the lace trimmings, expert craftsmanship and soft colours mean they are equally as beautiful.
