Fashion Sent Down From Heaven by Michael Lo Sordo
Have you ever wondered what floating on a cloud feels like? Michael Lo Sordo just took us closer than we'll ever go again. A master of romanticism, it's hard to believe that this morning only marked Michael's third Australian Fashion Week show. Known for his ability to brilliantly blur femininity and structure, the humble designer certainly did not disappoint with today's Spring Summer offering.
The show opened with a white dress made entirely from pleats that I can only describe as heavenly. Tight folds swept across the front, falling into a scooped hem that lightly bounced with each step. The back of the dress was almost more breathtaking with loose pleats following fluidly behind.
And then, just when we thought falling more in love with Michael Lo Sordo would be impossible, out came more pleats drenched in sorbet shades. Fairy floss pink, baby blue and scarlet red coloured the runway heightening the romantic feel. Some pieces fell from spaghetti straps while the material of others was tied above the shoulder.
To put it simply, if I could marry a dress, it would one from the Michael Lo Sordo Spring Summer 2015 collection.
