See All the Runway Looks From the Myer Autumn Winter 2015 Launch
There's no denying it, Autumn is well and truly on its way, and although saying goodbye to our bikinis is heartbreaking, Myer has given us cause to celebrate. Last night the retail giant launched their 2015 Autumn Winter offering in Melbourne to Australia's style set, and boy did it get us excited for a cold snap.
The fashion industry and star-studded front row were presented with the new season stock soon to land in store from our favourite Aussie designers including Alex Perry, Kate Sylvester and Ellery. Myer Ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins, Kris Smith and Kate Peck took to the runway along with an army of models to showcase the offering that left everyone impressed.
Painting draped coats, knitwear and even matching sets, grey is undoubtedly a key shade for next season. Jayson Brunsdon styled the tone back with monochrome and block pieces lending a refined softness. Contrastingly, splashes of red, mango, cobalt blue and pink popped on the runway — proving that colour mustn't be forgotten about this Winter.
Silhouettes fit a preppy mould with Karen Walker presenting full skirts styled back with button-downs, while other designers sent feminine dresses polished with tailored coats down the runway. A new approach to luxe was also evident with harsh angles being softened by draping in juxtaposing fabrics, such as rich silks and lush leathers.
Organic prints were big across all brands, however a standout was Aurelio Costarella's billowy frock that featured bleeds of green and red.
