One More Reason to Get Excited About Peter Pilotto x Target
We're only a month into 2014, but Peter Pilotto already has a lot to celebrate. The British Fashion Council just announced that the brand has won this year's BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund. Pilotto and his co-designer Christopher De Vos will take home £200,000 (over $330,000) to help grow their business, and they'll get a year of mentoring. And if that wasn't enough, the duo will launch a collaboration with Target on Feb. 9.
It'll be available not only at Target stores in the US but also online at Net-a-Porter.com (although Net-a-Porter won't be shipping to Australia). "By working with Target, we're able to broaden our reach and bring our design aesthetic to an entirely new audience," said Pilotto in a statement.
De Vos added, "This is a pivotal moment for our brand. Our collection for Target embodies the elegance and spirit of our own line but makes it accessible to everyone."
The collection will include 70 pieces ranging in price from approximately $15 to $80 for clothing and approximately $17 to $40 for accessories. As far as we're concerned, that's quite a bargain for the pattern-perfect line-up that features skater shoes, totes, beach towels, bikinis, and the statement-printed dresses that have made the brand a celebrity favorite.
