The sun was shining as the trend for white continued with bright ladylike dresses opening the Spring Peter Pilotto collection. Classic feminine dresses with '70s YSL inspired designs were ankle grazing with subtle splits revealing hints of leg. They began to introduce flashes of colour before deep blue jersey maxi dresses were shown with high choker necklines. Soft details like long ties draped down the back and bell sleeves created a sensual feel, and rather than going for a retro hippy vibe, the design duo hinted at the trend with boxy shift dresses and kick flare trousers. The prints, for which Peter Pilotto have become famous, were still present, but in panels creating a more mature collection. Be sure to take a peek at the shoes designed by Nicholas Kirkwood which serve as the perfect accompaniments to this eclectic range.
