Rachel Roy couldn't have picked a more beautiful day to her present her Spring '12 collection — attended by celebs like Olivia Palermo and Kim Kardashian — outdoors at the Lincoln Center. It was the classic '30s flick, The Lover, which took place in colonial Vietnam, that inspired Roy to meld the masculine with feminine via mint green draped suit jackets, tailored trousers, pyjama separates, and asymmetric wrap dresses. Graphic floral prints gave an edge to washed silk maxi dresses and gowns, while tape-yarn and linen dresses added a textural touch to the collection. We especially loved the black and white silk jacquard pieces cut into louche trousers and shorts. More highlights from the collection below.
