2011 RAFW Exclusive Preview: Yeojin Bae
The uber feminine designs of Yeojin Bae always leave us wanting more, so we're mighty intrigued to see her debut RAFW show on Thursday morning. Luckily she's shared a quick snapshot of some of her Spring Summer pieces in the making, and it looks like that tailored aesthetic will be turning up again on Ms Bae's catwalk. 1930s slip dresses sparked the designer's imagination, and she's re-envisaged the female form using seam and panelling details to focus on the hourglass shape. Fine pin tucks in panels are laborious, but will mean each piece will have one-on-one time with the designer and her patient hand. Yeojin let slip that reds, coral, shades of pink and blush with nude and black will form her colour palette — which sounds fabulously femme to us. The heels tripping down the runway are worth looking out for too, as Yeojin is collaborating with stiletto maestro Jerome Rousseau on her first RAFW collection. Stay tuned for our full report card tomorrow.
