Marc Jacobs is doing it to us again. After our excitement over his futuristic-meets-ladylike main line NYFW collection yesterday, it's his Marc by Marc Jacobs runway show that's giving us goose bumps today. The usually youthful collection got a grown up makeover for A/W 2011, with calf length skirts, long sleeved shirt dresses, delicate knits and a muted colour palette which spoke to a more mature MJ fan base. Carrying on from his 70s inspired S/S Marc Jacobs collection, he referenced the era via safari-esque suede suits, retro prints and separates in shades of burnt orange, mustard, bottle green and camel. And for the boys? Skivvies (yes,really), velvet ties, fur trimmed coats and LOTS of tweed. That 70s show indeed!
