Should Australia's Next Top Models Have Worn Fur in Their Tribal Kangaroo Island Shoot?

Australia's Next Top Model: A Furry Issue

A controversial topic came up on last night's episode of Australia's Next Top Model, and I'm keen to hear your thoughts. As part of their latest photo shoot, the girls were whisked away to Kangaroo Island where they had to brave the elimates in tribal inspired ensembles. Along with layers of peasant skirts and more ethnic bangles than you could poke a stick at, the girls were also dressed in fur. Charlotte Dawson commented via Facebook after the show screened, saying "I was unaware the girls would be styled using fur in this weeks shoot. I was disappointed at the decision and expressed this when I saw the shoot at elimination." Hazel too expressed concern over wearing fur on set, whilst Amelia stated that she thought it was ok if the furs were vintage.

What's your call on the fur debate; were they necessary for the styling of the shoot? Or do you think the stylist employed should have opted for more animal-friendly options?
