Sugar's Little Black Book of Secrets... Sydney

This month, Pop, Bella and I will be bringing you the best that Australia has to offer on the celeb, beauty and shopping front, and we thought we'd kick off our Little Black Book of Secrets guide with a city we only know too well  — our hometown of Sydney. Whether you're shopping for cheap thrills or in the market for something a little more indulgent, we've got the lowdown on where to show up a storm in our glistening harbour city.

Beach Babe: Bondi Beach Update your Summer wardrobe and head to Bondi Beach for authentic sun-lover style. Be sure to start at caftan queen Camilla's flagship on Warner Avenue before walking down Campbell Parade for more bikini emporiums than you can poke a beach umbrella at. For threads that'll get you mistaken for a local go to Tuchuzy and Ksubi on Gould Street, then head to Purl Harbour on Curlewis Street before trundling down Hall Street for lunch and great people watching at Le Paris-Go Cafe.

Glam-Stop: The Intersection, Paddington
Reese Witherspoon’s shopped here, as has Kate Bosworth and Kim Kardashian. Housing stellar Aussie stores such as Zimmermann, Camilla & Marc, Ginger & Smart, Marnie Skillings, Sass & Bide and Scanlan & Theodore, you won’t find a better mix of luxe local labels (that get a celeb-seal of approval).
Find The Intersection along Oxford St and Glenmore Rd, Paddington.

Vintage Lover: Surry Hills
For a mix of the best pre-loved fashion items Sydney has to offer, let your first port of call be the streets of Surry Hills. Here you’ll find Zoo Emporium, Grandma Takes a Trip and Mister Stinky’s which all offer an eclectic mix of modern-vintage items ranging from '50s beaded dresses to '80s denim cut-offs. For a dose of Americana retro gear, nothing beats Route 66 for authentic cowboy boots and original Raybans.

Mallrats: Westfield Sydney
Zara... need we say more? It’s barely been a year since the doors of Westfield Sydney opened, but it’s fast becoming Sydney’s mecca for both high-end and affordable international labels. Adding to the three-levels of Zara goodness, labels such as Christian Louboutin, Miu Miu, Prada and Gap sit alongside much loved Aussie luxe to less brands. Need more variety? Neighbouring Pitt St Mall is home to the best of the rest including Sportsgirl’s flagship Sydney store and a multi-level Country Road.
Westfield Sydney is located at cnr Pitt St Mall and Market St, Sydney.

To Market, To Market: Kirribilli Markets
Those in the know don’t fossick around stalls at 6 a.m for nothing. Best known for their second-hand market day held every second Sunday of the month, Kirribilli markets are the go-to location for designer goods at bargain prices. Here you’ll find a stylish crew (often stylists, designers and industry-types) selling off their wares to make room for the new. You know what they say, one woman’s trash...
You can find Kirribilli Markets at Bradfield Park, Milsons Point.
