We spotted this trend on the catwalk at New York Fashion Week waay back when (ok, it was only February, but fashion's a fast moving beast!). Since then we've seen it trickle down to RAFW runways at Zimmermann and Ellery, and are wondering if this new two-piece will be something that we'll all be rocking when the warmer weather hits. With more than a nod to the 60s mod-ish silhouette, we could see the appeal of a streamlined sleeveless tunic top worn over cigarette trousers, à la Balenciaga's Pre-Fall collection. How does this new shape sit with you? Will you shake off those nasty 90s connotations and try it out? Or is this one trend that should stay on the runway?
