Vivienne Westwood 2010 London Fashion Week Collection
2010 London Fashion Week: Vivienne Westwood Red Label
Kooky? Check. Clashing prints? Check. Tartan? Check. To appreciate a Vivienne Westwood collection you need to really look closely at what's going on. Bright tights mixed with a printed skirt and shaggy jacket may seem ridiculous all together, but individually, each piece is a spectacular display of clever tailoring and unique fabrics.
For Westwood's Winter '10 collection, there was a strong focus on climate change as printed t-shirts walked the runway declaring vital statistics on world-population and Mother Earth. The rest of the range, however, was classic Westwood at its best. Stand-out coats in trench, cropped and blazer style completed many looks, while a mismatch of coloured checks and striped suiting were paired back with a variety of prints. Yes, it's all a bit wacky, but somehow, Vivienne Westwood gets away with it. See it all unfold in our gallery.
