News Now: Westfield Sydney Opens Today!

We are in post-Westfield shock! Fab and Bella was there when they cut the ribbon this morning at the new Westfield Sydney complex, and wow-wee it sure looks to live up to expectations. Ever experienced that giddy excitement you get shopping overseas? Well this feels pretty damn close, and I'll eat my Miu Miu's if this doesn't change the way people shop locally! I had to remind myself I was still in Sydney; the schmick interiors and big name brands made me feel a million miles from the CBD. We spied lush store frontages from GAP, DKNY Jeans, Ksubi, Zimmermann, Diane von Furstenberg, Sass and Bide, Gucci and Mulberry, and even the mere 'Opening Soon' signage from Christian Louboutin, Miu Miu, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace and Zara made us shriek with the delight (cue mystified looks from the security guards). Doors open to the public at 9.30 people — so run, don't walk! It's retail in Australia, but not as we know it.
