What's the Perfect Cover Up to Wear to a Wedding or Formal Occasion? Try these chic options from Marcs, Alannah Hill & Portmans

Ask Fab: Finding the Perfect Cover Up for a Formal Occasion

Hi Fab, I’m off to a wedding, and have a frock — but have no idea what to wear to keep warm in between the service and reception. As it’s still a bit chilly outside I want something that won’t ruin the look of my frock, but is wedding appropriate. Any ideas? Thanks! Katie, Potts Point, NSW.

Forgo your mum's pashmina (it really has had its day) and try a tailored tuxedo jacket like those seen on Stella McCartney’s A/W runway. Cropped styles work well with waisted dresses, whilst long-line blazers are good with either super short frocks or maxi lengths. Scope Marcs' range. Not formal enough? Try a bolero style jacket in a simple cut but with luxe finishes like beading, embellishment (like
