2011 Spring Fashion Week Trends: White Out

We've said it before and we'll say it again — white is totally overtaking black as the go-to colour for sleek dressing. It was hard to escape its fresh presence on the Spring '11 runways featuring in everything from sporty separates and retro silhouettes, to girly lace and structured suiting. Dolce & Gabbana included almost every style in their Spring offering, while Alexander Wang focused on casual white basics and leather accessories in his collection. Lauren Conrad and Milla Jovovich both recently embraced the white-lace trend, and with Erdem presenting a heavenly blouse and skirt combo on the runway, we're officially declaring white lace as the new fabric du jour.
