Zac Posen left the evening gowns behind for a more structured and refined Fall '10 collection. An earthy palette of grey, camel, chocolate and black was styled against bursts of deep-red, purples, and army greens. Fur was the texture of choice, featuring heavily on coats, trims and even shoes, while most pieces were kept fuss-free thanks to their clean lines and architectural details.
Dresses were modern and sharp in their silhouettes, however pants and jackets took on a retro feel with high-waists and cocoon shapes worked into the range. I'm hoping this simple yet striking collection will help pull the young designer from his recent financial struggles, as I can see these pieces walking straight out of store doors.
