Wardrobe Watch: 40 Reasons This Girl's a Style Sensation
There's not a fashion girl on the planet who wouldn't happily rifle through Zanita's wardrobe. As one of the country's top fashion bloggers and photographers, she's often the first to see — and own — the cult items of every season. Her look is nothing if not eclectic — she moves effortlessly from '50s vixen to sexy tomboy in a single day (and photo shoot).
"I'm pretty inconsistent," Zanita said. "I have a really short attention-span. I went from the man/boy style, which I was doing for quote a bit to now — I think it's inspired by my hair style — where I do a lot of vintage style. Also I recently realised boobs are quite an asset, and work '50s style fashion."
One day, you might see her in a plisse-pleat midi skirt and the next, boot-leg denim and Birkenstocks.
Aside from the 100,000+ strong social media following, she's basically just like you, counting local labels among her favourite brands. "I love Scanlan Theodore, they've been around for ages, and Toni Maticevski, Dion Lee, Ellery, Josh Goot are really incredible," Zanita told POPSUGAR Australia. Internationally, you'll find a slew of the cult-cool names like Acne, Dries van Noten, Rag & Bone, and 3.1 Phillip Lim in her closet.
Style aside, Zanita has an enigmatic eye for photography. The self-taught photographer recently worked with Louis Vuitton on a shoot with fellow fashion blogger, Nicole Warne. And next? She's looking for bigger, better brands (and budgets): "Anyone who can afford to book me the biggest models," Zanita laughed. "I actually never like to talk about it! I think I'm going to jinx it. I have a little photo gig with a very large Swedish retailer, and I have one coming up with another huge blogger and a hair brand. Shooting her as she travels around fashion week. I hope that's going ahead."
