Zara confirmed to be opening in Australia in 2011!
Zara Coming To Australia, It's Kinda Official This Time!
Brace yourselves, peeps! Spanish chain Zara is heading our way next year. Yes, I know, I know, this rumour has done the rounds for YEARS now, but I feel like this time, it could very well be true. Ragtrader is reporting that the chain store will be rolling out stores in both Australia and South Africa in 2011 as Inditex, the company that owns the label, announced the news in a general meeting yesterday. Curiously, no other details were specified. Cagey? A little. Deputy chairman Pablo Isla did manage to confirm that Zara will be launching their online store in September, although no news on whether shipping to Australia will be available. I'll feel better about this kind-of-confirmation when concrete details about the when and where are released, won't you? In the meantime, let's rejoice in the fact that Gap is definitely heading our way. Look here, there's even a website to prove it!
