There aren’t many IT-girls who rock a pair of jeans quite like Bella Hadid. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent a morning or two trying to replicate one of her effortlessly chic casual-day-in-New-York outfits.

And trust me — it’s all in the jeans.

For any effortless daywear, you’ve got to start with a base. In Bella Hadid’s case, it’s often a pair of statement jeans. Whether they have a rough hem, coloured pockets, diamante detailing or painted denim,  it’s rare to see her in a “standard” jean.

One of her favourite brand collaborations —  Levi’s x Denim Tears —  is back. Levi’s has teamed up with Denim Tears, the brainchild of Tremaine Emory, creative director of fashion brand Supreme, for a second time to launch another Levi’s x Denim Tears collaboration.

Hadid rocked jeans from the first capsule collection earlier this year, and they were a serious hit.

Launching Thursday, July 28, the collection is a sartorial exploration of race, injustice and fashion’s intersection with the history of African Diaspora in America. In particular, the three-piece capsule looks into the culture and experiences of the Gullah Geechee people —  descendants of Africans who were enslaved on the plantations of the lower American Atlantic coast.
