I’ve never liked jeans. Even when I was a kid with no juicy bits, I felt uncomfortable in jeans. I’ve always felt as though jeans have been trying to squeeze me into being a size I’m not. But thankfully, that’s not the case anymore.

One of the best things about being a model is getting to try on heaps of different clothes. It makes shopping for a curvy bod so much easier, because I know which brands design with size diversity in mind.

It’s so difficult to find the perfect fit of jeans, especially when buying online, so I thought I’d do a little round-up of all the jeans from Australian brands that have fit my curves the best.

These are the best jeans for curvy women to shop in Australia right now.

Spell

Daisy Patchwork Denim Jean

Spell’s Daisy Patchwork Denim Jean ($229) is available in XXS to 3XL. It combines different shades of denim to reenergize the 70s bootcut style.

Because this is a more rigid style of denim, we suggest sizing up to give a bit more room for movement.

H&M

Curvy Fit Ultra High Mum Jeans

It’s rare to find a pair of high-waisted ripped faded jeans like these Curvy Fit Mum Ultra High Ankle Jeans ($59.99) from H&M.

They’re snug but still a comfy fit, which could be dressed up with heels or worn super casual.

Best&Less

The Carpenter Jean

This Women’s Carpenter Jean ($40) from Best&Less are so trendy, you almost can’t believe that they’re from Best&Less.

Going up to a size 26, they’re made from 100% cotton and absolutely nail the baggy fit while still moulding to your curves.

The Iconic

Levi's 80s Mom Jeans

These Mom Jeans ($159.95) from Levis are a wardrobe staple. From the relaxed fit to the denim wash, it’s easy to pair with your favourite crops or longer tees.

White & Co

Freya Jeans

These Freya Jeans ($179) are giving relaxed mum jean vibe, but like, a cool mum.

They’re a great jean for curvy babes to feel comfy and chic in, whatever the occasion.

Pair with a heel, a sneaker or a casual sandal.

Seed Heritage

Wide Leg Denim Pant

These Wide Leg Denim Pant ($89.95) from Seed Heritage come in both white and blue denim, and have a beautiful soft fit.

They go up to a generous size 16, so are perfect for slightly curvier bodies. I own a few pairs of Seed denim in a size 14, and they fit my juicy butt perfectly.

Levi's

Levi's Curve 90S 501 Jeans

These 90S 501 Jeans ($159.95) are really comfortable for the chilled, IDGAF vibe.

My favourite thing about these jeans is that while they’re the right amount of baggy and comfy, they still look chic and edgy.

Decjuba

Evie Button Distressed Jean

Having modelled the Evie Button Distressed Jean ($99.95) myself (yes, that’s me in the pic!), I can tell you that they fit diverse sizes incredibly well and make you feel sexy.

I especially love a jean that has a buttoned — rather than a zipped — fly, as I find that they’re more comfy for curves.

Supre

The Skater Jean

I bet you thought you’d never wear low-rise jeans again… but you were wrong!

The Skater Jean ($30) comes in muted green, electric blue and indigo. They’re actually super flattering, despite being a looser fit. I own a pair of these in black and I wear them all the time.

Cotton On

Curve Adriana High Crop Skinny Jean

These Curve Adriana High Crop Skinny Jean ($15) deserve a spot in your wardrobe.

The fit of Cotton On curve jeans are always really good, none of that waist gap nonsense! Plus, they soften pretty quickly, which means they get comfy fast.

THE ICONIC

Love and Nostalgia

Melbourne-based brand Love and Nostalgia make great jeans, that fit curves really well.

I personally have these Kate Wide Leg Jeans ($146.30) and they are the comfiest and coolest jeans I own.

THE ICONIC

OBUS Forever Jean

These are OBUS’s  Forever Jean ($239) and with the cut and shape; I understand why.

Going up to a size 20 (in all styles) — they’re loose, but straight — meaning they’re flattering but ultra comfy. They’re also high-waisted, and a style that can be worn anywhere (even out for a big dinner).

ALPHA60

Dalton Jean

ALPHA60 are another great Australian brand that do fab jeans for people of all shapes and sizes.

I love this Dalton Jean in black ($199) for either a super casual comfy look, or jazzed up with heels and a crop.

Cotton On

Relaxed Wide Leg Jean

Pull off a big pants, little shirt moment with this pair of Relaxed Wide Leg Jeans ($69.99) from Cotton On.

With sizes from 6-24, you can easily dress this up with a pair of heels for a night out. Or grab some sandals for a quick throw together before brunch.

THE ICONIC

Blue Cargo Jeans

Have a y2k moment with these Blue Cargo Jeans ($69.99) from You + All.

Dress it up with a tight crop top and comfy sneakers for a day-to-night adventure.

Tommy Jeans

Curve Daisy Low Rise Baggy Jeans

If you’re loving the resurgence of low rise jeans but not sure where to cop a pair, Tommy Hilfiger has got you covered. The Curve Daisy Low Rise Baggy Jeans ($199) size up to AU 24 and are perfect for a Y2K inspired ‘fit. Complete the look with a baby tee and some sparkly sunglasses and you’re good to strut.
