We Can't Get Over All the Glamorous Celebrity Fashion at the British Independent Film Awards

The 2021 British Independent Film Awards were held at Old Billingsgate in London on 5 Dec. to honour 2021’s most innovative and creative independent filmmaking and filmmakers in the UK. And whilst the focus of the evening was on the incredible films and talented actors, directors, and screenplay writers, the nominees and guests used the opportunity to show off some incredible style.

The BIFA red carpet was full of luxurious, sumptuous fabrics that felt spot on for the festive season, like the midnight blue velvet suit worn by Ruth Wilson and the sapphire-coloured velvet gown worn by Alice Eve. There were plenty of glamorous metallic dresses, like Gugu Mbatha_Raw’s shimmering beige dress and Alesha Dixon’s black-and-gold number, whilst Kate Beckinsale and Lauryn Ajufo stepped out crisp winter white.

Another highlight of the evening was The Crown’s Emma Corrin wearing a lilac-coloured coord set from Marco Ribeiro, marking the Brazilian-born, Paris-based designer’s first ever red carpet appearance.
