Sick of tapping at your phone relentlessly? Finding there’s a limit to the number of ways to kill time with one screen and five fingers? This could be your chance to be one of the first Australians to enter a whole new level of mobile technology.
Sony Ericsson is on the hunt for ten social-media savvy Aussies to help it celebrate the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ PLAY on The Optus Open Network.
You’ll be asked to join in and review their pioneering new Android smartphone: the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ PLAY. This isn’t just a try before you buy experience, you’ll be competing against the other nine PLAYers in the competition for a chance to win the handset for yourself.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia™ PLAY, due to hit stores before June, is the world’s first PlayStation certified smartphone. This means it comes with a controller hidden discretely underneath the screen. Just flip the 4-inch screen up, and you’ve got a whole new way to interact with your favourite Android and PlayStation games.
Sony Ericsson have collaborated with EA (The Sims), Gameloft and GLU (Guitar Hero) amongst others. This means you’ll have access to these popular games, plus many more available on the Android market.
This is your chance to compete against the other PLAYers to see who comes out on top.
The competition features much more than just the high-score game-off between competitors though. That means you don’t even need to be an avid gamer to join in. Sony Ericsson are looking for the most entertaining, intelligent responses, reviews and experiences of the Xperia™ PLAY that you can share on Facebook, Twitter and blogs.
The competition will utilise all the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ PLAY’s functions on the Optus Network. Challenges will range from head-to-head gaming battles to tasks that require you to use the PLAY’s camera to show off your imaginative and creative best. You’ll have to feel comfortable interacting with people that will inevitably be interested in your PLAY if you’re going to come out on top.
Think you’re up for it? Click here and take your chance to become a PLAYer.
Closing date for entries is Sunday 11th April 2011.
