Chloe Kim Brings Cutouts and a Thigh-High Slit to the ESPYs Red Carpet

Athletes traded their uniforms for red carpet attire at Wednesday night’s ESPY Awards in Los Angeles. Chloe Kim was one of many best-dressed guests at the event, among stars like Ciara and Russell Wilson, the Curry family, Suni Lee, Alison Brie, and more. The snowboarding champion dressed in head-to-toe Versace, wearing a bold blue asymmetric dress decorated with a slash cutout and Versace’s signature gold safety pins. The jersey gown was completed with a formfitting silhouette and a thigh-high side slit, showing off Kim’s chain-link stilettos, also from the designer.

Kim, who was nominated for best athlete in women’s action sports at the ceremony, further accessorized with a diamond tennis necklace, earrings, and an ear cuff. The two-time Olympic gold medalist posed on the red carpet with her boyfriend, Evan Berle, who wore a sharp black tuxedo sans tie.

Later in the evening, Kim changed into a more playful look for Steph Curry’s afterparty, swapping Versace for Prada. She wore a white Prada-branded bralette and matching skirt, layered under an oversize collared jacket. While she kept the same jewellery from the earlier ceremony, she paired the white ensemble with knee-high snakeskin boots and a furry purse.

Though the athlete is often seen wearing her snowboarding gear and more casual outfits, she knows how to make a statement on the red carpet. In late May, she attended Gold House’s inaugural Gold Gala wearing a vibrant green Prabal Gurung dress covered in ruffles, and earlier that month, she turned heads for her first-ever Met Gala in a white Giambattista Valli Couture ballgown adorned with red feathers.
