Ciara’s High-Slit Gown Sparkled on the Met Gala Red Carpet
Ciara’s high-slit gown sparkled on the 2022 Met Gala red carpet, a look she said was inspired by the “modern woman of Gilded Age” in her interview with livestream host La La Anthony. The one-shoulder design is covered in gleaming metallics rendered in a black and silver zebra print running throughout. Michael Kors helped the singer achieve her vision of “Gilded Glamour“, creating a simple yet refined style for the highly-anticipated event. Though it didn’t pack the dramatic details we’ve come to expect from common Gilded Age dresses, it still had a strong presence on the red carpet.
“I’m representing the modern women of Gilded Age,” Ciara told Vogue. “It was all about luxury and opulence back in those times, and that modern woman is all about fashion, she’s pushing fashion forward.”
Ciara carried a matching clutch, and accessorised her hairstyle with gleaming silver accessories. While the 36-year-old star kept her neck bare, she decorated her left arm with black and silver bangles, her ears with simple crystal studs, and her hands with silver rings. Completing her ensemble, a pair of silver heels amped up the allure.
