Every now and again, Kmart just nails it with the seasonal trend pieces. The budget retailer has always been reliable for basics, but more and more Kmart’s becoming a viable fashion destination with affordable pieces that reach viral status as fashion-savvy buyers happen upon them in store.
The latest piece to catch our eye comes courtesy of the Into the Wild range, which launched in stores this week. With the cold weather came a new range of outwear, jumpers and cosy layers, our favourite of which is the Teddy Shacket.
At $35, the Teddy Shacket is an incredibly affordable piece ā in fact, we’ve seen similar jackets at literally 10 times the cost, and already, the coat is gaining traction online as shoppers discover the bargain buy.
The Teddy Shacket is defined by its cosy, boucle-esque fabric with a knotted texture. It comes in ‘peanut’, a beige brown shade, and boasts a boxy, oversized silhouette with silver press studs, a fluffy collar, and chest pockets. It’s the perfect final layer in these transitional months, when it’s not yet cold enough for a wool overcoat, but too chilly for merely a jumper.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, the Teddy Shacket has begun to sell out online in certain sizes, but shoppers around Australia are finding plenty of stock in stores. We’re predicting this one to sell out in no time at all, so if you want one, then we don’t need to tell you what to do next.
