Meghan Markle made her final public appearance as the Duchess of Sussex before she and Prince Harry step down as senior royals. And of course, she chose an outfit that we’ll never forget.

Meghan and Harry arrived at London’s Westminster Abbey to join fellow royals in celebrating Commonwealth Day 2020. The pair used their final major fashion moment to communicate a message of solidarity, with Harry matching the inner lining of his suit jacket to Meghan’s Spring-green outfit.

Meghan’s green dress is a new design by Emilia Wickstead. It features 3/4-length sleeves, a structured bodice, and an asymmetrical cape design around the neck and left shoulder. Meghan paired the midi dress with a matching fascinator by William Chambers, a dark emerald Gabriela Hearst Nina dumpling bag, and light beige, patent-leather Aquazzura pointed-toe heels. The color green was a smart choice. Green welcomes Spring, and it’s disarming while at the same time being vibrant and youthful. It represents wealth and “goodness.” We’re pleased to see Meghan exiting the pressures of royal family with grace and a smile.

Ahead, see every angle of Meghan’s final look as a senior member of the royal family.
