Doze Off in Style in Karen Walker X Papinelle’s Dreamy Sleepwear Collection

Fancy pyjamas are the absolute epitome of self-care. There’s nothing better than waltzing about your house in boujee sleepwear, glass of wine in hand.

For someone like me, who gets a bit lazy when it comes to buying pyjamas and often just ends up sleeping in the nude or a baggy tee shirt, we’ve done the research for you.

Australian luxury pyjama brand Papinelle has just launched their newest collection with iconic New Zealand designer Karen Walker, and it is divine.

The luxury collection features classic, flattering styles and beautiful botanicals on whisper-soft silks and airy cotton blends, all of it living up to the Papinelle ethos of creating the “Most Beautiful Sleepwear in the World”.

“For our third collaboration, we dug deep into the Karen Walker print archives and found the most beautiful 70s inspired Garden Floral print,” says CEO of Papinelle Renae James.

“This vintage floral together with a feminine print of Botanical Blooms on silk and silk-cotton in new beautiful shapes is a celebration of nature.” 

Vintage is super on-trend right now, as we’re seeing past fashion eras come back in spades. Not only are the bold colours and prints from the ’70s coming back in full force, but we’re also seeing heaps of Y2K fashion trends re-emerge, too, in new and elevated ways.

But really, has vintage fashion ever gone out of style? In my opinion, dressing as a sexy ’70s housewife has always been a vibe.

Karen Walker is known for her edgy style, which makes this particular pyjama collaboration with Papinelle super exciting. The designs are so chic, they could literally be worn to brunch or even a bar, too.

“Our pyjamas are just as good for stepping out as they are for staying in,” Karen Walker says.

“They look and feel sensational on the couch or under the duvet but they’re just as knock-out styled with Levi’s and Birkenstocks and taken to the street. Sleepwear as daywear continues to be our thing.”
