Khloé Kardashian in a Kim Kardashian Mask Is My New Sleep Paralysis Demon

If you’re prone to nightmares, I suggest avoiding photos from Kim Kardashian‘s 43rd birthday bash. When friends and family gathered on Oct. 20 to celebrate the Skims founder’s latest trip around the sun, Khloé Kardashian and several other attendees wore paper masks of Kim’s face. The party favors were left on guests’ seats at Beverly Hills hotspot Funke, likely intended to be a funny photo prop. But ever since pictures emerged from the glamorous soirée, the masks have haunted my thoughts, taunting me with their creepy poked-out eye holes.

Khloé really committed to the bit with her blond-haired Kim mask, sharing a photo of herself wearing it for a sweet birthday tribute to her older sister. Some followers were apparently confused by the Instagram post, prompting Khloé to clarify that it was, indeed, a mask. “To all the people in my comments that think this is @kimkardashian, it’s not. It’s a mask,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “I cannot believe anyone would actually think this is her.” She was also spotted wearing the same oversize mask while exiting the party, resulting in paparazzi photos that will undoubtedly materialize as my new sleep paralysis demon.

Khloé wasn’t the only partygoer donning Kim’s likeness in paper form. Reality star Natalie Halcro posed in a brown-haired Kim mask alongside Khloé, while Sara Foster and Ivanka Trump were captured wearing one, too. (Yes, Ivanka was in attendance, and no, I don’t know why.) The packed guest list also included younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, momager Kris Jenner, Malika and Khadijah Haqq, Hailey Bieber, and Kimora Lee Simmons. Kourtney Kardashian had to skip out because she’s on bed rest ahead of her quickly approaching due date.
