Gigi Hadid’s Eyeball Minidress Is So Eye-Catching

Gigi Hadid has one eye on you . . . and the other on her dress. On Feb. 27, the supermodel and mother to 2-year-old daughter Khai, stepped out in an eye-catching minidress while doing press for her new Netflix series, “Next In Fashion.” The bone colored design featured off-the-shoulder sleeves with a white tank underneath and an asymmetrical hemline. But the true pièce de résistance was the massive eyeball print: a bright red iris peering out from her waist and fluffy black lashes reaching across her bodice.

For her accessories, Hadid turned to stylist Elizabeth Sulcer, who chose a pointed pair of dark red heels, sheer black tights, and statement gold jewelry to match the hardware details on her tank top. Hadid kept her blond hair down, matching the shade of her lips to the fiery hue of the eye print. This look was one of six that Hadid wore while promoting her new project, including a gray Valentino sweater set and a hooded jacket from Alexandre Vauthier.

As the owner of her own fashion brand, Guest in Residence, we’re not surprised that Hadid opted for such head-turning looks. This particular unblinking outfit came from Sarah Burton’s spring 2023 collection for Alexander McQueen, and she previously explained the very intentional symbolism to Vogue. “The eye is the most unique symbol of humanity – each one is like a fingerprint; each one is completely individual,” Burton said.

“It’s sort of about seeing things again,” she added. “Not walking around with your eyes shut, your eyes down. Just seeing each other, recognizing each others’ humanity. Caring about each other.”
