In case you were wondering, we’re still totally here for a white sneaker. The trend continues to earn a place in our everyday wardrobes for its versatility and comfort factor, and naturally, we love a shoe that delivers on every look we serve, whether office appropriate or weekend wear.

Now, Reebok, the brand behind everybody’s favourite white sneakers, has teamed up with French fashion house Maison Margiela for the shoe collab to end all shoe collabs. It’s a white sneaker, but with a cool designer spin.

The two powerhouse brands have worked together before on limited-edition kicks (you may even have spotted a pair on Kim Kardashian’s Instagram story recently), but the latest sneakers to come from the partnership are surely our favourite.

Maison Margiela and Reebok have today announced the Classic Leather Tabi as part of the ongoing collaboration. Dropping in both white and black, it’s a simple and chic silhouette with the addition of Maison Margiela’s signature split-toe construction. Yes, you’ll need some special socks to wear them, but purchasing the sneakers means you’ll get a pair of tabi toe socks. If you have toe socks lying around from the noughties, then those will work too.

“The Classic Leather Tabi splices two icons into one. Maison Margiela created the Tabi in 1988. With its recognisable split-toe construction – and the signature footprint it creates – it represents the deconstructive design philosophy key to the house,” a press release reads.

“A formidable running shoe, the Classic Leather from 1983 has become a staple in the casual wardrobe and remains one of Reebok’s most respected and recognisable shoes.”

The Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi sneakers will be available to snatch up from February 26 at Reebok’s online store for $450.
