Princess Beatrice Borrowed Her Wedding Dress and Tiara From Queen Elizabeth II's Wardrobe

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue! If your grandmother were Queen Elizabeth II, wouldn’t you take advantage of her seemingly endless wardrobe? Princess Beatrice did, and I can’t blame her one bit. The British royal quietly wed Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a private ceremony on July 17, and she chose meaningful attire for the occasion.

In a couple of newly released wedding photos, you can see Beatrice and Edoardo exiting the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor and looking blissfully in love. Her short-sleeved gown is a vintage design from Norman Hartnell, and it originally belonged to the queen herself. She paired the dress with a midlength veil and the Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara, which the queen borrowed from her own mother for her wedding day. What a sweet gesture from grandmother to granddaughter, and vice versa.
