People Are Calling Shia LaBeouf a Normcore Fashion God For a Reason

I’m going to just come out and say it: Shia LaBeouf is the style star I never saw coming. He’s been getting a ton of well-deserved buzz around his film Honey Boy, which is actually based on his childhood. I’m clearly not the only one who has taken a liking to the actor’s style since he even has an entire Instagram account, aptly dubbed Shia’s Outfits, dedicated to his normcore outfits. One of my favorite looks thus far has to be a light green Patagonia fleece he wore with lavender shorts while in LA. Now, I can’t walk around Brooklyn without seeing at least 10 skater boys replicating his entire grungy aesthetic – not that I mind one bit.

Shia’s casual street style has been getting a lot of attention, so much so that some have dubbed him a normcore fashion god. He has a way of making dirty Golden Goose sneakers, dad hats, and vintage graphic t-shirts somehow speak to my soul – a true talent in my eyes. I think it’s the fact that he’s pretty much nailed the “I don’t really care about how I look. I just rolled out of bed and put on the first thing I saw” attitude about his wardrobe, which ironically has made people – myself included – care. Keep reading to see some of my favorite fashion moments Shia has blessed upon us ahead.

How do you make a gray Patagonia fleece and combat boots look even more normcore? Hold a salad in your hands and fork in your mouth, obviously.
