I'm not usually one for diets. I've tried a handful in the past but have always found the results — while satisfying at the time — to be impossible to maintain. There was something about intermittent fasting though, and more specifically the 5:2 diet, that peaked my interest when it began trending last year.
The regime — which allows you to eat normally five days of the week, and on two non-consecutive days only, eat a restricted amount — truly seemed like a diet that could fit permanently into my lifestyle. So, I convinced my fiancé to give it a go with me for four weeks.
