Healthy Habit #11: Find a Detox Day

Finding it difficult to find to have any healthy one-on-one time? We know how busy this time of year can be. But that's why taking the time (now) to work out the best time for a detox day is so important. It can a day of the week or even in the middle of the week, whichever you choose, you should stick to it and make it a weekly healthy habit.

Leave your detox day open for all things healthy clean and eliminate all the toxins from within (think: alcohol, party food, sleep deprivation). A detox doesn't have to be a week-long thing or a 28-day plan, it can be as simple as giving your fridge a Summer detox, or allowing your digestion system to have a break by reducing the amounts of grains, fats and processed sugars.

Or, you could consider penciling a sauna date, which is great for flushing out unwanted toxic material from the body's cells. The detox sauna at Sydney's alkaline only takes 30 minutes making it ideal to slot in on a busy weekday afternoon. So this week, choose a detox day and show the party season who's boss.
