How to Pick the Perfect Personal Trainer
Choosing the right personal trainer for you is just like dating, minus the super personal, intimate moments, of course! Just like a boyfriend you want a personal trainer who gets you — someone who will help you realise your potential and not make you feel uncomfortable. If you've gone through a few PTs in your time, trust us, you're not alone. We're here to make the process a little easier so you can get the bod you want with the help you deserve.
Consider this your checklist . . .
Trial Before You Buy
Consider this like a first date. You'd never commit to a guy before the first date so why would you commit to a personal trainer? If they can't offer you a free trial session, they're probably not the trainer for you — consider this a sign.
Are they qualified?
This is important to know before you sign up. A personal trainer with the right qualifications is very different to someone who loves to stay fit and motivate others. If your trainer doesn't know the correct techniques this will put you at risk of potentially serious injuries.
Show Me the Moves
Any trainer who's too good to get down and dirty isn't a good trainer. You want someone who can show you each move and go for that dreaded run with you, not someone who barks orders without giving helpful direction. Trainers like that are the worst.
